Ticket Seller - Seasonal Position
Qualified candidates will join team that sells all tickets for the 2014 Ajyal Film Festival. All sales transactions are performed on web based software, computer literacy is a must. In addition, sales agents perform key will call and customer service tasks. Position involves constant interaction with festival-goers, and demands a strong knowledge of the festival program and a facility in using the reference tools provided by management. Possible venue assignments include: City Center and Katara. This is a seasonal Festival position.
Job Responsibilities:
Ticket sales, will call, and general customer service
Responsible for all cash and credit transactions at ticketing station of assignment
Constant interaction with Festival goers. Must establish a strong Festival knowledge in order to provide accurate information to Festival patrons
Assists Location Supervisor with daily Festival updates and general upkeep of ticketing locations
Compiles daily ticket sales report (balance sheet)
Minimum Job Requirements/Skills:
Ticketing or film festival experience preferred. Previous cashier, teller, event sales, or production experience a plus
Candidates must be reliable and punctual with strong customer service skills
Quick learner
Must be computer and web savvy. Will be working on web-based ticketing system
Fluent in English, Arabic speakers preferred
Good customer service skills
Works well under pressure
Team focused and model Festival representative
Position requires working every day for duration of contract
Valid Residency Permit (RP; family sponsorship) and a letter of no objection from sponsor required to be eligible for work with DFI.
