SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC is always seeking talented individuals to join its teams.
We currently have a few opportunities within Qatar for a:
PROJECT MANAGER (PORT)
This position is a unique opportunity to act as the clients’ representative for the project through and will monitor the consultants’ planning, organisation and management of the Design Team, Consultants and Contractors to successfully complete the design and construction of the site. Achieving all the project goals in accordance with the employers requirements and ensuring consultants implement the terms and requirements of the project within the allocated time and budget for the project, utilising the assigned resources and coordinating all the tasks across different functions, to ensure the delivery of the project and to achieve the project objectives.
Your main duties will be:
Review recovery plans developed by consultants and contractors in response to off-schedule and/or unanticipated eventualities, prior to implementation.
Diligent project management skills and monitoring of the project risks and issues logs.
Ensure the needs of the Stakeholders are fulfilled during both the Design and Construction phases and that those needs are achieved in line with Project Programme and to Project Budget.
Review the project execution plan developed by Consultants, providing comments and requesting updates as appropriate.
Check and review the project documents submitted by consultants and contractors to ensure all required documents and certificates are available.
Coordinate with the Stakeholder Management function to ensure timely Employer Sign off on project documentation as and when required.
Prepare periodic reports on progress and quality of design and construction work.
Ideally you will have graduated in Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering and Master Degree in Project Management or Civil Engineering is considered beneficial. You will have a minimum experience of 15 years of work experience and in particular have proven yourself with minimum of 5 years as a Client Representative. You will have exposure to mega-infrastructure projects which is essential and previous knowledge of design and construction in deep-water related projects (Marine) would be considered beneficial.
You are fluent in English, and fluency in Arabic would be an advantage.

You must have:
• Bachelor Degree in Engineering
• Minimum of 25 years experience in:
Project Management; Construction; Civil; Mechanical; and/or Marine, depending on your position of application.
