About Your Job:
In this role as Manager IT Programme Management you will be responsible for managing a group of interrelated IT infrastructure projects, addressing resource dependencies and risk management across the projects to ensure the delivery of the programme in an efficient, timely and cost effective manner. You will assist in the delivery of assigned large, complex and operationally critical IT Work Programme by applying structured project management and IT infrastructure domain expertise. You will assist in drafting the IT Infrastructure strategy and contribute to the budgeting for IT Work Programme. You should ensure that 3 years of technology strategy for each of the assigned technology area is drafted and agreed and the work programme is derived in accordance with this. You will ensure that the objectives for the programme are defined to enable measurement of success and reprioritization when conflicts arise.
You should take ownership for the delivery of assigned programme and ensure projects under that are delivered within the agreed cost and timescales. You should ensure that available resources across on- site/offshore are optimally utilized to achieve the objectives and success of the programme. You should ensure that the list of projects to be undertaken along with key attributes such as business priority is defined and maintained and that each project is initiated at the right time. You should also ensure that any specific standards and procedures must be followed by all the projects/sub-projects in the programme. You will establish organizational control structures for work programme (e.g. work programme steering group) working along with the VP IT. You will be responsible for ensuring that the risks from individual projects are consolidated, prioritized based on risk exposure and that the resources are focused to manage risks with highest impact on the programme. You should ensure that a consolidated work programme plan is established and maintained based on high level planning output from individual projects and that summary reports of all projects in the programme are provided to relevant stakeholders at regular time intervals. You will create the business plan/cases outlining the scenarios, value and benefit of product/project, and explain the cost justifiers/ drivers for implementing the proposed technical solution(s). You will establish and support the department objectives and priorities and regularly evaluate the department plans, procedures and practices, and makes appropriate changes if needed. You will also be responsible in overseeing and supervising employees, direct daily activities, recruit, train, develop and discipline to ensure a high standard of service delivery.
About You:
You should either hold a Bachelor’s Degree, Post Graduate Degree or Diploma in Management with a minimum 8 years of job related experience. You should have 6 to 8 years of experience in leading IT projects of which at least 3 years should be in successful management of large work programmes. You should have hands-on experience and practical knowledge of data centre facilities & technologies, MPLS networks, large wireless LAN, large and integrated access control, video surveillance and special airport systems.
We are looking for someone with knowledge on Infrastructure Products / Software review, implementation and Support management, programme management, Vendor management and Project management skills with good experience with Project Management tools. You should also have problem solving and good team management skills.
