About the job:
As Lead Finance Officer - Acquisitions, you will be required to support the team’s activities in connection to acquisitions and analysis of new investments and projects.
You will be accountable for the following:
Assist Senior Finance Manager on financial statement analysis.
Conduct the due diligence and conduct cost/benefit analysis of the project.
Analysing external environment trend i.e. political economic, social, technological business and industry trends in order to determine the impact of these trends on the business.
Validation of key assumptions in business plans stating the qualitative and quantitative benefits either merging, acquiring or investing in a particular line of business.
Develop the finance models to derive at the acquisition value for the bid in connections to equity-related investment opportunities.
Draft recommendations to management with the synergies and risk associated to the projects.
Assist in investment and valuation analysis in any airline synergy and subsidiary expansion projects.
Analyse the allocation of the capital based on the risk and return profile of the project to ensure effective use of capital.
Assist in raising additional capital to finance the project such as Term Loan Facilities from Bank.
Review all the documentation related to project and coordinate with other internal teams to ensure that the project funds are arranged and executed on target date.
Prepares various and ad hoc reports for management such as a comprehensive monthly report for management with peers' analysis with benchmark index.
About you:
Qualifications:
Candidates should have a Bachelors Degree (or equivalent) and preferably a post graduate degree in finance/accounting/economics related subjects. CFA/CPA/CA holders and academic experience or third-party certification in connection to acquisition and corporate finance topics are also preferred.
Previous experience:
Candidates will have a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience and possess Candidates will possess work experience in areas such as accounting, corporate finance, research or economics as well as previous experience in the area of aqcuisitions.
In addition, candidates will also have a natural interest and curiosity in corporate finance or macro-economics generally, possess good inter-personal skills, excellent computer skills and possess experience with working in a multi-cultural environment.
