Doha: Unstable weather conditions are expected to occur in the country until the end of the week, according to the latest update by Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD).
This period will begin tomorrow with winds set to blow from fresh to strong in speed gusting to 23 KT at times at southeasterly direction until the beginning of Tuesday. A dust mass will also likely affect the country causing poor visibility to less than 2 kilometres at some places and may reach zero visibility at times.
Following this, from Tuesday morning until Wednesday evening, fresh to strong wind will also gust at 22 KT at times.
During this period, cloud formation will also increase in Qatar as weather conditions are forecast to become partly cloudy at times with a chance of light rain at the end of the week.
The rainfall to occur in this period is called "pre-Sarayat" which refers to the fast cloud forming over small areas and scattering around during the nighttime.
Rising temperatures are also forecast during the weekend due to the shift of southerly winds. During this period, the maximum temperature will range between 32-38 degrees Celsius and higher especially in southwesterly areas of Qatar.
QMD urged all citizens and residents to take precautions during this period of unstable weather conditions.
