Umm Al Seneem Park is set to be inaugurated during the third quarter of this year, local Arabic daily Arrayah has learnt. The project is being implemented by the Public Works Authority (Ashghal) in co-ordination with the Ministry of Municipality. It has a space of around 130,105sqm and will include various facilities that could cater to up to 3,000 visitors a day. The park is planned to include around 88,400sqm of green space and 800 different trees in addition to walking and cycling tracks measuring around 1,135m, besides 247 parking lots for vehicles. The park will also include two kids' play areas, while taking into consideration the needs of children with special needs and providing them with adequate facilities for recreation and comfort. The park has been designed to provide social, environmental and recreational privileges to visitors and is expected to be highly popular among inhabitants of the surrounding areas.
