As the hours for the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup finals approach, 12 flights with Bahraini fans will fly into the country today, Al Jazeera TV reported.
Commenting on this news, Khaled al-Jasim, presenter of the Majlis programme, said on the Al-Kass channel: "Good news, and I hope that you will do this in Saudi Arabia, so that it will be a beautiful final with fans of both teams."
“Tomorrow, flights from Bahrain will fly to Hamad International Airport in Doha via Kuwait to support their team who play Saudi Arabia in the 24th Arabian Gulf Cup final at 19:00 Doha Time at Abdallah bin Khalifa Stadium,” Al Kass TV tweeted yesterday.
Bahraini media added that the Bahraini Football Federation with coordination with private companies decided to run flight with fans to Doha to support their football team in the Gulf Cup final against Saudi Arabia today.
The British aviation expert Alex Macheras also tweeted yesterday that nine flights from Bahrain will fly to Doha for Gulf Cup final and Bahrain will fly all flights via Kuwait.
The two team - Saudi Arabia and Bahrain - will be aiming to go all-out to have their hands on the coveted Gulf Cup trophy as they clash in the final of the eight-team event at the Abdullah Bin Khalifa Stadium (Duhail) today. The title-match will kick off at 7pm.
While Saudi Arabia are gunning for their fourth regional title, Bahrain are hoping to continue their winning form and clinch the maiden Gulf Cup title today.
