The Ministry of Municipality's Public Services Sector in co-operation with the National Service Academy (NSA) has launched a training programme for the latter's cadets to enhance co-operation that serves community development and covers various related fields.

The programme is part of a five-year joint agreement between the Ministry of Municipality's Public Services Sector and the Ministry of Defence under which the NSA comes. The objective is to exchange experiences in training and development and train cadets in the various fields of the Ministry of Municipality. Sherida Sultan al-Rumaihi, director of the Mechanical Equipment Department at the Ministry of Municipality, stressed the importance of co-operation with all the national entities and organisations to exchange experiences in training and development. The official explained that the training programme targets 2,500 cadets by training them to drive various heavy vehicles. The training is being imparted by expert engineers at the department.
