There was a significant decline in the number of traffic violations recorded in March, along with a decrease in traffic accident cases during the same month.
This was revealed by the monthly statistical bulletin issued by the Planning and Statistics Authority.
The bulletin showed that the number of traffic violations recorded in March amounted to 116,904, down 30.7% from February, while the annual decline rate was 35.5% compared to March 2019.
The number of traffic accident cases reached 483 during March, registering a monthly decrease of 21.7%, with minor injuries being recorded in the vast majority of those cases at 86%. This was followed by severe injuries at 11% and deaths at 3% of the total traffic accident cases.
