Doha: With about 30 days to go before the kick-off of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the top ten countries with the highest number of ticket sales have emerged.
Addressing a press conference on Monday, COO-FIFA World Cup, Colin Smith, said nearly 3 million tickets have been sold so far, and Qatar tops the list of countries with the highest number of tickets, accounting for about 37 percent of sales.
The USA lies in the second position, while Saudi Arabia is third. The other top countries are England, Mexico, the UAE, Argentina, France, Brazil, and Germany.
The World Cup will start on November 20 with the opening match between hosts Qatar and Ecuador at the Al Bayt Stadium.
