Doha: The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labor, and Social Affairs (ADLSA) affirmed that establishments subject to the Labor Law must grant their workers a full-paid holiday for three working days during the blessed Eid Al Fitr.
In a statement, the Ministry clarified that if the working conditions necessitate working during the Eid vacation, the provisions of additional working hours and their allowances, mentioned in Article 74 of the Law, shall apply in this regard.
This is without prejudice to the decisions of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Commerce and Industry to organize work schedules or temporarily suspend some activities within the framework of the preventive and precautionary measures taken by the state to limit the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19) for the safety of all citizens and residents.
The Ministry expressed gratitude for employers and workers who abide by the instructions for the precautionary measures, including maintaining social separation and safe distances between workers, wearing masks and protective gloves, and ensuring the cleanliness of people and places constantly, whether in the workplace or housing, as well as implementing the specifications and other health requirements, in light of the shared responsibility of all during the current period.
