The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced a temporary closure on Al Furqan Intersection until January 5 while keeping the main lanes on Jassim Bin Ali Street (formerly Muaither North) and the right turns of the intersection open to traffic.
The closure, implemented in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, is to facilitate completion of the works related to the development of the Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) in Muaither, Al Mearad and Rawdat Abal Heeran areas.
During the closure, drivers heading from Al Salam Street to Al Sedaira Street and from Al Sedaira Street to Al Salam Street can make use of the free flow right turns and take a U-turn at the next available junction, as shown on the map.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary traffic closure and requested road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
