Doha: The first appearance of the Suhail's star "Al-Tarf", which is one of the last summer stars to appear at the beginning of the season's end, was witnessed in the early hours of Wednesday, the Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has announced.
The Indian Monsoon-Depressions recede with the appearance of "Al Tarf" star, followed by the gusts of wind that bring cooler weather.
The 'Suhail' star's appearance in the Gulf is considered an indication of the end of the summer season where the temperature starts to decrease gradually and the chances of rain increase.
The 'Suhail' star has four stages, starting with Al-Tarfa, then 'Al-Jabha', followed by 'Al-Zebra', and then "Al-Sarfa". In a Tweet, the Meteorology Department stated that during the first stage of "Al-Tarfa," the weather is hot and humid, but with the rise of "Al-Sarfa," the heat and humidity begin to decrease gradually.
The appearance of the "Suhail" star in the Gulf is thought to signal the end of the summer season, when temperatures begin to fall gradually and the likelihood of rain increases.
