Doha: Qatar Weather on its twitter account warned residents of strong winds which resulted in a decrease in horizontal visibility.
The department said that there will be strong winds due to the development of thunder cells.
The Peninsula readers from all over Qatar reported of rain, low visibility, and shared pictures and videos for the same.
Meanwhile, in its daily report, the department said that thundery rain in expected along with the strong wind.
Offshore, it will be cloudy with scattered rain maybe thundery at times, report added, warning of expected thundery rain associated with strong wind and high sea.

Wind inshore will be mainly southeasterly to northeasterly 08 to 18 knot, reaching to 35 knot with thundery rain.
Offshore, it will be northeasterly to southeasterly 10 to 2o knot, reaching to 35 knot with the thunder rain.
Visibility will be 4 to 8/2 kilometer or less at places with thunder rain.
Sea state inshore will be 2 to 4 feet, rises to 5 feet with the thunder rain. Offshore, it will be 3 to 6 feet, rises to 12 feet with the thunder rain.
