Al Shamal Municipality has started implementing a project to provide the beaches at Al Ruwais and Abu Dhalouf with shades and solar energy-run lights.
The project is supported by the Ras Laffan social communication programme. The project is also part of the active co-operation between the Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) and organisations that play a key role in corporate social responsibility.
It includes the installation of 34 shades in the northern beaches within Al Shamal Municipality.
Meanwhile, in June, Al Daayen Municipality’s cleanliness section removed 11 abandoned vehicles, conducted 5,338 insecticide operations and removed 21.6mn gallons of sewage water.
