A delegation of senior level executives from RasGas Company Limited (RasGas), led by chief executive officer Hamad Rashid al-Mohannadi, attended the World Petroleum Congress (WPC) and exhibition held from June 15 to 19 in Moscow. During the event, RasGas will be showcasing its capabilities in deliverability, operational excellence, innovative technologies, environmental commitment, and safety. Engineers and experts of the company will be presenting papers and posters on the latest technological developments in the liquefied natural gas (LNG) value chain and on sustainability and energy efficiency. RasGas development planning specialist Noora al-Derham will present a paper entitled ‘Study to treat and reuse treated industrial and process water.’ There will also be poster presentations by RasGas specialists like Reservoir Engineering-Surveillance head Hani al-Kharaz, who will present “Data integration and evaluation technique: An integrated approach of getting the right data and maximising its value.” Also, Process Engineering advisor Tachta Hidayat will discuss “RasGas experience in conducting the survey of flare passing valves using acoustic technology.” This year’s WPC was themed ‘Responsibly Energising a Growing World.’ The technical programme of the event will consist of four thematic blocks such as Exploration and Production of Oil and Natural Gas; Refining, Transportation, and Petrochemistry; Natural Gas Processing, Transportation and Marketing as well as Sustainable Management of the Industry. Each block will be filled with technical forums, best practice sessions, and round table discussions. RasGas said the company attributes great value for its participation in the event by providing a platform for engaging in active dialogue with industry specialists and contributing to meaningful insight on changing global trends in the energy industry.
