The programme also included hats off for 2020 graduates, professor acknowledgment by the graduating batch and interactive games. The event concluded with a group photo and closing remarks.
Dr Diab said, “We are very glad that we were able to conduct our annual end-of-year gathering virtually. This has definitely been a challenging year and to end it up by this gathering is very rewarding. The amount of efforts put by faculty, staff and students this semester is indescribable, the efforts that have been exerted to ensure all that work has been done efficiently is fantastic. Thank you to all CPH family for their hard work, many thanks to those who have executed the event virtually, great work, and special thanks to all those who have joined our family gathering.”
“The theme of this year’s event summed up this semester ‘when the impossible became possible’. The way everyone - students, staff and faculty- has adapted to online learning/ teaching/ working is remarkable and all have all demonstrated brilliant resilience and responsibility. Not a surprise by our amazing CPH family. We at the College of Pharmacy are really proud of you all and wish you continued success and we are certain you will successful leaders and overcome the many challenges you will face as you are well equipped to be agent for change in advancing the pharmacy profession,” Dr Awaisi noted.
Qatar Pharmacy Undergraduate Society president and CPH Third professional year student, Hend al-Naimi said: “Every year we look forward to the CPH end-of-the-year gathering, it is a room for us students, faculty and administrators to gather and share all what we have done during the academic year. Due to Covid-19, we couldn’t gather as usual; the gathering was virtual. However, it was a successful and a unique event, in terms of the interaction, activities and attendance. A great initiative from the college to end the year and celebrate our success even though we couldn’t meet as usual.”
