QNB Visa cardholders treated to event with FIFA trophy

QNB, the largest financial institution in the Middle East and Africa, invited its football-passionate customers to an exclusive event held by Visa, to view and take pictures of the FIFA World Cup winner’s trophy, a first of its kind event by a lender in Qatar.

During the event, aimed at creating more excitement for football fans, QNB Visa cardholders spent quality time taking photographs to cherish the occasion, ahead of the world’s most popular sporting event already coming soon to Doha.

QNB, the Official Middle East and Africa supporter of the FIFA World Cup 2022, and Visa, the official payment service partner of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, have recently launched a series of FIFA World Cup 2022 designed prepaid cards and credit cards.

This is a way to promote the QNB brand at a global level and increase the emotional connection with customers and community through sports.

"We are proud to introduce to our valuable customers this once-in-a-lifetime experience of bringing the FIFA World Cup winner’s trophy to them, thanks to Visa,” QNB said in a statement. “Our customers certainly enjoyed viewing and taking close-up pictures with the FIFA World Cup winner’s trophy in such an exciting event.

“We have been working very closely with our long term strategic partner, Visa, on various fronts and customers can look forward to many other joint-promotions with Visa during the run up to the biggest sporting event in the world."

Sudheer Nair, Visa’s country manager for Qatar, said that this is an extremely proud moment for Visa as the Official Payment Services Partner of FIFA to be able to create memorable moments for its cardholders and clients in Qatar.

"We are delighted to partner with QNB in bringing the FIFA World Cup winner’s trophy to the bank’s customers and look forward to launching with them more exclusive experiences for Visa QNB cardholders in the run up to and during FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022," he said.
