Qatar's Haj Mission has approved camp location for nine Haj campaigns in Mina and Arafat.
Director of Qatar's Haj Mission, Ali bin Sultan al-Misifri, said the pilgrims' camps at Mina are located at one site while camps in Arafat are distributed on two sites: Arafat 1 and Arafat 2.
He disclosed that Qatar's preparation for the pilgrims' sites began some time before the Haj season, through co-ordination with the Ministry of Haj and Umrah in Saudi Arabia and the Muttawiffy Hujjaj South Asia Company, where several meetings were held. These meeting resulted in the allocation of the sites in Arafat, near the main street and the Al Mashaer Train, for pilgrims from Qatar.
He added the Haj Mission allotted the camps at Mina and Arafat to the campaigns taking into consideration the number of pilgrims in each campaign and the approved space for each pilgrim.
The camps are equipped with security and safety features, emergency exits have been identified and male and female workers allocated to the camps.
Besides all necessary services, facilities and equipment such as air conditioners, modern toilets, seating and sleeping areas, in addition to other equipment such as mattresses and appropriate electric power has been provided.
Suitable spaces have also been allocated for medical clinics of the Qatari mission. There is a clinic for men and another for women, with the aim of providing pilgrims all facilities.
Al Misifri pointed out that Qatar's Haj Mission has also provided for an evacuation plane in case of emergency. A meeting point and emergency exits have been designated.
The camps have also been provided with safety and security inside the tents and in the corridors under the supervision of qualified personnel from Qatari civil defence as well as Saudi civil defence.
Qatar's Haj Mission adopted a new system this year to provide the best services to all pilgrims.
