Doha: Rainy days are forecasted from Wednesday, December 7, until Saturday, December 10, according to Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD). In its latest weather update, the Department stated that the country will be affected by a rainy state of varying intensity at intermittent intervals. This could also turn thundery at times.
During this period the wind will blow in the southeasterly to northeasterly direction at 6-16 KT with gusts exceeding 25 KT with thundery rain.
A decrease in temperature is also likely as winds shift to northwesterly direction on Satuday, December 10. This is predicted to last until the middle of the week.
A drop in temperature will bring cooler nights and morning hours as maximum temperatures vary from 19 to 26 degrees Celsius. On the otherhand, low temperature can reach between 15-24 degrees Celsius and may be less than that in southern and outer areas.
The further shift in weather also coincides with Al-Marb'aannyeh season signals the start of the severity of winter and lasts for about 40 days.
