The department stated that temperatures will range between 41°C and 48°C across Qatar during this period.
In response, the Ministry of Public Health has been sharing tips on social media for managing heat stress, including:
- Drink cool water every 15 minutes.
- Avoid tea, coffee, energy drinks, and soft drinks.
- Schedule more frequent work breaks.
- Eat right, eat light.
- Wear light, loose clothing.
- Keep your head covered when outdoors.
The Ministry also advised individuals to be vigilant for signs of a medical emergency, such as abnormal thinking or behavior, slurred speech, seizures, and loss of consciousness. If any of these symptoms are observed, call 999 immediately. Move the person to a cooler area and cool them down with water, ice, or a fan.
