Doha, Qatar: The FIFA Council, convening before the 74th FIFA Congress in Bangkok, Thailand, unveiled Qatar as the host nation for the next three editions of the FIFA Arab Cup tournament, scheduled for 2025, 2029, and 2033.
In a statement released by FIFA, it was confirmed that at the behest of the Qatar Football Association, the country would undertake the role of hosting these tournaments. The events are set to adopt an invitational format, distinct from the International Match Calendar.
Moreover, FIFA also finalized the allocation of slots for the forthcoming five editions of the FIFA U-17 World Cup, all slated to take place in Qatar from 2025 to 2029. The slots are distributed as follows: AFC: 9; CAF: 10; Concacaf: 8; CONMEBOL: 7; OFC: 3; UEFA: 11.
