Qatar reports less than hundred Covid-19 cases in community on Dec 6

Doha: Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) today recorded 125 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19) and 216 people recovered from the virus in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of people recovered in Qatar to 137,276.

Out of the 125 new cases, 93 are community cases and 32 from travellers returning from abroad.

So far, 239 people died from the coronavirus in Qatar.

All new cases have been placed in isolation and are receiving necessary health care according to their health status.

The total number of positive COVID-19 cases recorded in Qatar is 139,908 and there are 2,393 active cases under treatment.

3,350 people were tested for the first time in the last 24 hours (8,460 tests in total) taking the total tests done so far to 1,136,425 tests.

There are 35 cases of hospital admissions in the last 24 hours taking the total number of patients in the hospital to 271.

One patient was admitted to intensive care, bringing the total number of cases receiving medical attention in intensive care currently to 33.

While the restrictions of COVID-19 are gradually being lifted in Qatar, it is important for everyone to play their role in controlling the virus by following precautionary measures:

- Adherence to physical distancing

- Avoid close contact with others, crowded places, and confined closed spaces where other people congregate

- Wearing a face mask

- Washing hands regularly
