New York: The State of Qatar participated in the virtual high-level meeting of heads of state and government on Financing the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development in the era of COVID-19 and beyond, which was held yesterday, at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
The State of Qatar was represented at the meeting by Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, H E Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi.
The meeting discussed short, medium and long-term measures that are considered the most effective in addressing the crisis of the COVID-19 epidemic, achieving the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and opportunities to enhance flexibility, inclusiveness and long-term sustainability, in addition to the role played by the United Nations to support member states to solve this crisis and build a better future.
