A plane loaded with medical assistance provided by Qatar in support of the medical sector in Sudan arrived at Khartoum airport.
The medical assistance consignment was received at the airport by the Director of Bilateral Relations at the Sudanese Health Ministry Dr Eman Mukhtar, ambassador of Qatar to Sudan Abdulrahman bin Ali al-Kubaisi, and Director of Qatari Charity’s Office in Sudan Omar Abdul Aziz.
Director of Bilateral Relations at the Sudanese Health Ministry commended Qatar’s support and assistance to her country in the health domain, expressing thanks to the government and people of Qatar while describing Sudan-Qatar relations as strong and solid. For his part, ambassador al-Kubaisi said the assistance came within the framework of distinguished relations between the two countries, pointing to Qatar’s supportive stance to Sudan in the various service and development fields as well as humanitarian aid field. Director of Qatar Charity’s Office in Sudan said the consignment contains 79 tonnes of medical solutions and is part of continued humanitarian and relief assistance to Sudan and is also part of “Safety for Sudan” campaign, adding there will be a second phase of assistance that will cover health, educational fields and others.
