Qatar International Boat Show 2021 to conclude Saturday

The 8th Qatar International Boat Show (QIBS) 2021, which made history in the country's marine industry by launching locally-manufactured top spec luxury yachts and speed boats, is concluding Saturday.

At the venue at 20-22, La Croisette, Porto Arabia, The Pearl-Qatar, Performance Marine launched on Thursday four speedboats, including a 52’-long and 14’-wide, largest-ever Qatar-made speedboat that can clock up to 85kph, organisers said in a statement.

Performance Marine chairman Sheikh Hassan bin Jabor al-Thani said that soon he will be announcing news about the release of 3X and 4X models.

A total of 36 companies, including six Qatari boat manufacturers, are participating in the QIBS, organised by Al Mannai Plus Events since 2013.

Halul Boats chairman Ahmed Mohamed Hamad al-Hitmi said that his company’s 10 new most-modern boats, all made in Qatar, are on show.

Doha Craft has launched two new boats, 44’ and 38.8’ models, at the event.

The QIBS was inaugurated by HE the Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad bin Qassim al-Abdullah al-Thani on Tuesday.
