In Riyadh, Qatar's ambassador Bandar bin Mohamed al-Attiyah held a celebration, attended by Acting Governor of Riyadh Prince Mohamed bin Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz.
The celebration was attended by HE Sultan bin Saad al-Muraikhi, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs; Sheikh Dr Ahmed Nasser al-Mohamed al-Sabah, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of State for Kuwait Cabinet Affairs; Khalifa bin Shaheen al-Marar, Minister of State at UAE's Ministry of Foreign Affairs; Dr Nayef bin Falah al-Hajraf, Secretary-General of the GCC; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia Eng Waleed bin Abdulkarim al-Khuraiji; Dr Nasser al-Dawood, undersecretary of the Saudi Ministry of Interior; Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs in Saudi Arabia Ambassador Tamim bin Majid al-Dossary and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Protocol Affairs in Saudi Arabia, Khalid bin Faisal al-Sahli.

The celebration was also attended by a number of senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Interior, Emirate of Riyadh region, the General Secretariat of the GCC, members of the diplomatic missions accredited in Riyadh, as well as citizens of Qatar in Riyadh.
The celebration included the presentation about Qatar, its culture, and its historical and modern landmarks. It also included the organisation of the Qatari traditional dance,
'Al Arda,' which won the admiration of everyone.
On the sidelines of the ceremony, an exhibition was held that included models and photographs of the ongoing preparations to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.

In Kuwait, the Qatar embassy also held a celebration to mark the National Day. The celebration was attended by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Sheikh Hamad Jaber al-Ali al-Sabah, the Foreign Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Dr Ahmed Nasser al-Mohamed al-Ahmad al-Sabah, the Interior Minister Sheikh Thamer Ali Sabah al-Salem al-Sabah, a number of senior officials, and ambassadors of GCC countries as well as ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries accredited to Kuwait.
Ali bin Abdullah al-Mahmoud, Qatar's ambassador to Kuwait, stressed that Qatar is continuing its efforts to achieve the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 and to prepare the 3rd National Strategy for a period of five years, noting that Qatar has given priority to building the human mind and body, to fortify it with knowledge, and to provide it with the weapon of knowledge and the tools of the age in order to prepare a promising future generation.

He referred to Qatar's achievements in health, education, sports, human rights, economy and foreign policy, and stressed that it has achieved during the past three decades a major leap in various fields, and has continued to place the countries of the GCC at the helm of foreign policy priorities.
In this regard, al-Mahmoud stressed that Qatar has a prominent and influential role in its regional and international environment for all issues.
He said the Qatar-Kuwait relationship is well-established and strong relations between the two countries and people have also been proved.
In Madrid, the Qatar embassy's celebration was attended by ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries, members of the diplomatic missions accredited to Spain and representatives of the Spanish private sector.
In his speech, Qatar's ambassador Abdullah bin Ibrahim al-Hamar referred to the advanced bilateral relations and the most prominent aspects of economic co-operation, the development and increase of Qatari investments in Spain, and the participation of many Spanish companies in important projects in Qatar.
He also touched on the important successes achieved by the country during this year, pointing to the start of the countdown to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, stressing that Qatar has developed all the necessary projects to ensure the success of this tournament and to make it unique and exceptional.
During the celebration, a film prepared by the Organising Committee for the National Day Celebrations was shown, models of the stadium designs where the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 matches will be played were also displayed.
In Athens, the Qatari embassy also celebrated National Day, which was attended by Minister of Justice Kostas Tsiaras, Minister of Migration and Asylum Notis Mitarachi, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Economic Diplomacy and Openness, Kostas Fragogiannis, directors of departments in the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and a number of ambassadors accredited to Greece.
In a speech on this occasion, ambassador Walid bin Mohamed al-Emadi stressed that the principles of Qatar's foreign policy are based on the rules of peace, security, stability, co-operation and friendship among all countries, referring in this regard to Qatar's affirmation of its support for the peaceful resolution of disputes and mediation between all friendly countries.
He pointed out that Qatar is the first Arab country to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which is a platform for understanding and cultural communication between all people.
In Mexico, the Qatar embassy's celebration was attended by General Director of Africa, Central Asia and the Middle East of the Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Affairs Amparo Anguiano, director of the Protocol Department of the Mexican Secretariat of Foreign Affairs, a number of deputies and members of the Senate, high-level personalities in government sectors, and the ambassadors of Arab and foreign countries accredited to Mexico.
In a speech on this occasion, ambassador Mohamed bin Jassim al-Kuwari reviewed the history of Qatar, its progress and development, and what has been accomplished to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, stressing that the development in Qatar is linked to "our firm belief in building a modern state whose national identity does not differ with science and technology, as established by the Qatar National Vision 2030."
He referred to the role of women in Qatar saying that all the achievements were made with the participation and leadership of Qatari women, who are an essential part of any Qatari national project.
The ambassador emphasised the strength and development of bilateral relations between the two countries, especially diplomatic, commercial and cultural ties.
In Sarajevo, the Qatar embassy's celebration was attended by Prime Minister of Bosnia and Herzegovina Fadil Novalic, a number of senior officials, members of the House of Representatives and ambassadors accredited to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
A presentation was made of Qatari heritage, the environment and a review of Qatari heritage history.
In Khartoum, the Qatar embassy's celebration was attended by Mohamed Bashir Abu Namou, Sudan Minister of Minerals, along with wide participation of officials, political and economic figures, ambassadors, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Sudan and other members of society.
The minister, on behalf of the government and people of Sudan, extended his congratulations to the government of Qatar and the Qatari people on the National Day, stressing that Sudan enjoys strong relations with Qatar based on respect and mutual trust.
He referred to Qatar's role in developing solutions to most issues and disputes, praising its role in establishing peace in the Darfur region and stressing the confidence of the Sudanese government and people in the ability of the brothers in Qatar to play a greater role in achieving stability in the regional and international environment.
Abdulrahman bin Ali al-Kubaisi, Qatar's ambassador, stressed in a speech that the Qatari-Sudanese relations were and are still strong and extending in all fields, which lays the foundations for further progress and prosperity.
Qatar reiterated its full support for Sudan at this important stage in its history and its firm position in support of the unity, sovereignty and stability of Sudan and its keenness to support bilateral relations for the benefit of the two brotherly countries and people.
In addition, Qatari institutions and companies operating in Sudan participated in celebrations marking Qatar National Day, and organised an exhibition in which they presented highlights of their various projects and activities in Sudan.
In Istanbul, the Consulate General of Qatar held a celebration on the occasion of Qatar National Day. The ceremony was attended by the Consul General of Qatar, Abdulaziz bin Mohamed al-Sada, diplomats, and a number of officials and dignitaries.
In Karachi, the Consulate General of Qatar, held a ceremony on the occasion. The ceremony was attended by Imran Ismail, Governor of Sindh Province, Manzur Hussain Wasan, Special Representative of the Prime Minister of Sindh Province, officials at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a number of Parliament members, a number of senior officials, Arab and foreign consuls accredited to Pakistan, and other community members, along with Mishaal bin Mohamed Ali al-Ansari, the Consul General, Mohamed Salem al-Khawar, Third Secretary, and Fahad Ghanem al-Sahlawi, Third Secretary at the mission.
Participants in the ceremony offered their congratulations to the government and people of Qatar on this occasion.
The ceremony included the screening of documentaries that highlighted aspects of drive of the comprehensive development in various fields.
The ceremony also featured the participation of Qatari companies investing in Pakistan and which organised pavilions in which they showcased their activities and contribution to economic development and services in Pakistan.
In Nairobi, at the celebration by the embassy of Qatar, the government was represented at the ceremony by Dr Fred Matiang'i, Minister of Interior and Co-ordinator of the Kenyan National Government, in the presence of a number of senior government officials, members of Parliament and the Senate, Maimouna Mohamed Sharif, Executive Director of the UN Nations Human Settlements Programme, and Their Excellencies heads and members of the diplomatic corps and international organizations accredited to Nairobi.
In Kathmandu, Qatar's ambassador, Yousef bin Mohamed al-Hail, held a reception to mark Qatar National Day.
The ceremony was attended by Vice-President of Nepal Nanda Bahadur Pun, large number of Nepalese ministers, a number of official figures, heads of brotherly Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to Nepal, and other community members.
In Yangon, Myanmar, the embassy of Qatarcelebrated the National Day.The ceremony was attended by Kyaw Myo Htut, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs, a number of officials in the government and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to Myanmar, and Acting Charge d'Affaires to the Union of Myanmar Mansour bin Mubarak al-Khayarin.
In Tunisia, Saad bin Nasser al-Humaidi, ambassador of Qatar, held a ceremony on the occasion of Qatar National Day with the participation of diplomatic and military members of the embassy.
In Bucharest, the embassy of Qatar held a celebration on the occasion of the National Day.
The ceremony was transmitted virtually, via electronic screens, in several cities in Romania.
In Dar es Salaam, the Qatari embassy held a virtual celebration to mark the National Day with the participation of a number of Arab ambassadors accredited to Tanzania.
In a speech on the occasion, Qatar's ambassador Hussain bin Ahmed al-Hamid, praised the comprehensive development achieved in the country, noting that the slogan of National Day this year's National Conference confirms the connection of Qataris to their environment since ancient times, by sea, air and land, which was reflected in their lives in the kindness of their morals, their humility and the smoothness of their words.
He noted the readiness of Qatar to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, and the great efforts made by the country to produce an exceptional version of the World Cup.
QNA — In Paris, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the French Republic held a party on the occasion of the National Day.
The ceremony was attended by senior officials in the Elysee Palace, the Prime Minister office, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Defense and Interior, and members of the Senate and the House of Representatives, in addition to several heads of foreign missions and international organizations accredited to France, heads of major French companies and a group of the most prominent French intellectuals and media figures, in addition to members of the Qatari community and students in France.
In a speech on this occasion, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to the French Republic Sheikh Ali bin Jassim Al-Thani praised the distinguished relations between the State of Qatar and France.
HE Sheikh Ali stressed the success of the recent visit of French President Emmanuel Macron to Qatar, as it charted a new horizon for expanding the partnership between the two friendly countries.
Despite the unstable health conditions, the two countries have continued the path of political and strategic dialogue through high-level visits between Doha and Paris, and intense and very promising bilateral exchanges, he added.
In Berlin, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Federal Republic of Germany celebrated the National Day by preparing a short video due to the precautionary measures applied in Germany, which included a speech by HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Germany Sheikh Abdullah bin Mohammed Al-Thani.
In the speech, HE the Ambassador expressed pride in the bilateral relations of the State of Qatar and Germany.
In Stockholm, the Embassy of the State of Qatar to the Kingdom of Sweden held a party on the occasion of the State's National Day.
The ceremony was attended by HE Sweden's Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Robert Rydberg, as a guest of honor, several senior civil and military officials, heads of Arab and foreign diplomatic missions accredited to Stockholm, as well as representatives of political, economic, social and academic bodies.
In her speech, HE Ambassador of the State of Qatar to Sweden Sheikha Moza bint Nasser Al-Thani indicated that Dec.
18 represents one of the most important occasions to express our collective values and principles of diversity.
HE the Ambassador explained that the period after 2019 is distinguished in the course of relations between Qatar and Sweden, as it witnessed several major events, the most important of which was the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding to conduct political consultations between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden in November 2019, which confirms the constants of relations of the two countries and enhanced the strategic partnership between the two foreign ministries.

In Manila, the Embassy of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines held a party on the occasion of the National Day of the State.
The ceremony was attended by HE Acting Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations and ASEAN Affairs Maria Theresa Lazaro, HE Foreign Assistant Secretary for the Middle East and African Affairs Alfonso Ver, HE Special Envoy of the President to the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Amable Aguiluz V, and several ministers and government officials in the Philippines.
In a speech, HE the Ambassador of Qatar to the Republic of the Philippines Dr. Ali bin Ibrahim Al Malki said that this year's celebrations reflect the close connection of the people of the country to their environment in which they were raised and affected by its characteristics, and coexisted with its nature, the colors of its soil, sea, and sky, and the change of its seasons, as the Qatari environment formed an influential part of the personality and identity of the Qataris. He pointed out that Qatar National Vision promotes loyalty, solidarity, unity, and pride in the state's national identity.
In line with the interest in protecting the environment, Qatar will host the first-ever carbon-neutral FIFA World Cup in 2022, which demonstrates the country's commitment to protecting future generations in Qatar and the region, and its interest in environmental issues.
HE the ambassador explained that this year also marks the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Qatar and the Republic of the Philippines, pointing out that Qatar attaches great importance to its bilateral relations with the Philippines, and seeks to deepen its strategic partnership with the Philippines in the political and economic fields.
In Kuala Lumpur, the Embassy of Qatar in Malaysia held a party on the occasion of the National Day of the State.
The ceremony was attended by HE Minister of the Prime Minister's Office for Economic Affairs Dato' Sri Mustapa bin Mohamed, representing the Malaysian government, in addition to several ministers, senior managers and employees of the Malaysian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Malaysian Prime Minister's Office, the Malaysian Parliament, and several ambassadors and members of diplomatic missions accredited in Kuala Lumpur.
HE Ambassador of Qatar to Malaysia Fahad bin Mohammed Kafood delivered a speech wishing His Majesty the King of Malaysia good health and happiness, and the Malaysian government and people continued progress.
During the ceremony, the Malaysian "Entertainment Ezrey" group presented folkloric performances about Qatari and Malaysian folklore. The program of the ceremony included a visual presentation through giant screens highlighting the most important achievements in the country and its high civil status and the country's preparations to host the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 by displaying models of the 2022 World Cup stadiums, as well as illustrations that talk about the landmarks of the country's modern renaissance, highlighting the Qatari heritage and culture.
