Funded purely by public donations along with offer of support from volunteers, QAWS is a temporary home to over 150 animals looking for new families and a permanent home to over 50 animals that are not suitable for rehoming.
The volunteers also walked dogs, cuddled cats, and spent time learning the needs of the animals. The event not only aimed to contribute and donate food and animal essentials but also instill the spirit of volunteerism among PICPA Doha members and non-members.
“True to our commitment in intensifying our CSR activities and strengthening social engagement within our community, which focuses on the physical and mental wellness of our members, PICPA Doha was ecstatic to collaborate with QAWS in raising animal welfare awareness among our members and to the general community,” said Gandamra, who also encouraged the public to extend assistance to animals, emphasising the importance of kindness and compassion to all living things, including animals.
PICPA Doha members and associates comprise a diverse mix of finance professionals with a myriad of work experiences from different industry groups. More information and upcoming announcements are available at www.picpadoha.org or by sending an email to [email protected]
