A PHCC official told local Arabic daily Arrayah that patients can now submit their request through the website to get medical records at 28 health centres under the corporation.
“A request can be submitted to receive medical reports and other medical information, such as x-rays and ultrasound images of the patient or his dependents,” the official said, adding that the records could be collected at the assigned primary health centre once they are issued after completing the payment.
The official pointed out that there are a number of important services that are provided to the portal without the need to visit the health centre or contact PHCC’s call centre.
The official said that the portal allows its users to add their dependents, who are under the age of 18 with a valid Qatar ID, to their accounts.
“Dependents over the age of 18 can create their own accounts through the portal while parents are able to request various services for their dependents such as registering for a health card, managing their appointments, obtaining a medical report, and other services,” the official added. “The portal can be accessed through an account in the National Authentication System (Tawtheeq).”
“Residents with a Qatar ID and people over the age of 18 can benefit from the available electronic services,” the official said.
The official explained that there are six services that can be availed through this electronic portal.
These are creating accounts for dependents, registering for a new health card, changing the health centre, changing the family doctor, requesting medical reports, and managing appointments.
