Ooredoo has signed a partnership with Netflix – described as the first of its kind in Qatar – to bring the entertainment giant’s services to its customers as part of “an exciting move that will bring a new dimension to entertainment” in Qatar. The service will be launched on June 10, 2020, Ooredoo announced yesterday in a statement.
Netflix, the world’s leading entertainment service with more than 183mn paid memberships in over 190 countries, enables members to enjoy TV series, documentaries, and feature films across a wide variety of genres and languages.
Members can watch as much as they want, anytime, anywhere, on any Internet-connected screen.
Members can play, pause, and resume watching, all without commercials or commitments. The partnership will see Ooredoo customers being able to enjoy exclusive access to Netflix content via Ooredoo ONE at home and on their mobile devices on the go.
Sabah Rabiah al-Kuwari, PR director at Ooredoo, said: “We work tirelessly to create partnerships that enable us to continuously lead the market in our offering to our customers, as part of our corporate growth and development strategy, and this latest partnership with Netflix, the world’s leading entertainment service, is momentous for us as Qatar’s premier telecommunications operator.
“We are immensely proud to give our customers access to everything Netflix has to offer, and we’re confident this tie-up will only cement our position at the forefront of telecoms and entertainment in Qatar. We look forward to the launch with great excitement.”
