Ooredoo has announced a new artificial intelligence (AI) technology sports platform developed in partnership with Microsoft, which will “revolutionise the way fans engage with their favourite sports”. Ooredoo Sports is a new sports conversational AI platform, which leverages Microsoft AI and Augmented Reality technologies to transform fan engagement with many different sports.
Ooredoo Sports will provide “a full set of features through a unique conversational AI experience, whereby fans will be able to engage with Ooredooo Sports and receive information on every game, team and player in Copa America 2019”, the company has said in a statement.
To celebrate the launch of Ooredoo Sports, Ooredoo is running a fun competition for fans and encouraging them to take selfies via Ooredoo Sports on Skype or Facebook Messenger and share them on the company’s Facebook, Instagram or Twitter account with #OoredooSelfieTwin.
The selfie that looks the most like a Copa America 2019 player will win 200,000 Nojoom points.
Ooredoo Sports is now live for Copa America, in which Qatar is participating, and fans will be able to use Ooredoo Sports via Ooredoo Sports AR App, Facebook Messenger, Skype and Google Assistant.
Ooredoo PR and Corporate Communications director Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi said: “Offering our customers access to the very latest, most state-of-the-art technology is of paramount importance to us at Ooredoo, and we are delighted to be working with Microsoft on this exciting development, which will revolutionise sports engagement and enjoyment for fans. It’s a phenomenal step forward for sports entertainment, and we’re looking forward to seeing how our fans react.”
The Ooredoo Sports AR experience app is available on the App Store and Google Play.
