Older Buses, Trucks, and Taxis Restricted from Abu Samra Border Crossing: MOI

Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Interior (MOI) has issued a new directive regulating the operational age of vehicles transporting goods and passengers via the Abu Samra border crossing.

According to the directive, trucks and taxis older than five years, as well as buses older than ten years from their manufacturing date, will not be allowed to cross the border.

The MOI announced this on its social media, stating, "In accordance with the regulatory directives concerning the transport of goods by trucks and the transport of passengers by buses and taxis via land routes, vehicles with an operational age of more than five (5) years from the date of manufacture are not permitted to cross the border via Abu Samra border crossing. Buses with an operational age of more than ten (10) years from the date of manufacture are also not allowed to cross the border via Abu Samra border crossing."
