Al-Attiyah was received by senior officials of QRCS’s Medical Affairs Division, including Abdullah Sultan al-Qattan, executive director, Ahmed Saud Jassim, director of Administrative and Financial Affairs, Dr Mohamed Fawzi al-Abyad, assistant chief medical officer (CMO), Dr Mohamed Murhaf al-Akshar, deputy CMO and director of Al-Hemailah Health Centre, and some physicians from the staff of the health facility.
This is part of the partnership between QRCS and NHRC to promote human rights and ensure the highest standard of care and service for different segments of society, particularly expatriate workers and foreign communities living in Qatar. The delegation accompanying al-Attiyah comprised Abdullah al-Mahmoud, head of the PR and Media Unit, and Mubarak Mohamed al-Safran, director of the office of the NHRC chairperson.
Officially inaugurated on July 30, 2016, Al-Hemailah Health Centre provides healthcare services for male expatriate workers, with a workforce of 262 highly qualified physicians, pharmacists, nurses, technicians and administrative staff. Since the beginning of the year until the end of November 2021, the centre received up to 477,382 visitors.
Numerous medical specialisations are covered, including GP, internal medicine, cardiology, dermatology, ophthalmology, ENT, dentistry, urgent cases service, minor surgeries and dressing, physiotherapy, X-ray, ultrasound, medical lab, vaccination, audiometry, pharmacy and health education.
