New version of Labour Ministry’s mobile app offers 33 services

Doha: The Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs has launched the third patch of electronic services for ‘Amerni’ application on smart phones in Arabic and English to save time and efforts of users — individuals and companies.

The third patch includes five new services. As of now, the app offers a total of 33 services including 21 services for individuals and 12 services for companies, said the Ministry in a post ‘Mobile Application Guide’ published on its website.

The users will now be able to file complaints against violating manpower recruitment offices. The domestic workers can also file formal complaints, in addition to other services provided by the Labour Relations Department.

One of the most important features of the application is its ease of use to request services and inquire about them, as the user can complete registration in three simple steps, starting with obtaining a username and password through the national documentation site, and then logging in through the application.

The e-services of ‘Amerni’ application include housing application follow up, rent allowance follow up, house purchase-ownership request, title deed request, installment exception request, labour residency extension, establishment transactions suspension follow up, and establishment’s inclusive statistics.

Other services are labor complaint follow up (individual/corporate), job seeker’s registration certificate, nursery location, report violation of nurseries, house loan request, house request for people in need, senior staff loan variance disbursement, social security follow up, social security documents.

The app also offers other services including labour approval details followup, inclusive statistics approvals, updating establishment official’s data, updating establishment branches’ data, house keeping complaint request, complaint against labour office, e-notice apply/inquiry for individual/corporate.

The application is available on Apple’s App Store and Google Play for Android Users, in both languages Arabic and English. The user guide is intended to inform the users how to use an e-services application - Amerni - for the Ministry of Administrative Development, Labour and Social Affairs in Qatar. The application includes a range of e-services designed to request services or query Information. 

The application aims at providing services to the owners of the establishments or their representative in addition to individuals, whether they are citizens or residents of Qatar. Amerni application running on Android OS version 4.3 or higher and IOS OS version 8 or higher. All smart phones that support these versions of operating systems will be able to run the application. The app is designed to work on smartphones but also works on tablets.

App users are supposed to download the app from the approved Apple Store and Google Play Store for the safety. The user is supposed to have an account on National Authentication system website to use the same username and password in Amerni application www.nas.gov.qa.

When a user clicks on (individuals) it shows services related to individuals. The top of the page shows service categories — employment, labour and business, housing and social and nurseries. When you click any of these category, the services for each category will appear. Also, when a user clicks on (corporate) it shows services related to corporate. The top of the page shows service categories — recruitment, notification and complaints and establishment data. when you click any of these category, the services for each category will appear.
