Doha: Msheireb Properties celebrated Qatar National Day with decorations and celebrations to mark the holiday while ensuring a safe and festive visit to people.
Until December 20, Msheireb Downtown Doha’s streets will be draped in Qatari flags and lights. The entire façade of the building of M7 shines brightly with the Qatar National Day logo.
Kahraba Street and Sikkat Wadi Street will display themed lighting, festive flags, and pillars in white and maroon colors until January 3, 2021.
One of the highlights of the Qatar National Day celebrations was the activation of the Msheireb Tram as a musical platform, providing Ardha singers and musicians the opportunity to play traditional music while the Tram moved seamlessly around the city district.
The battery-operated and sustainable Msheireb Tram can have its windows removed, giving the musician’s music direct access to the thousands of people walking the city streets.
In partnership with Vodafone Qatar, Msheireb Downtown Doha is hosting an augmented-reality firework show that adds a unique touch to the celebrations.
Geo-targeted to the areas in Msheireb Downtown Doha, consumers can download a specialised app that provides fun and eco-friendly Qatar National Day fireworks shows, which are part of Msheireb Properties and Vodafone Qatar’s sustainability practices.
