MSC Cruises to add third ship hotel for World Cup fans

* High-end MSC Cruises ship 'MSC Opera' to offer 1,075 passenger cabins for visitors to Doha from November 19 to December 19

MSC Cruises has announced that 'MSC Opera' will become a cruise ship hotel in Doha, working in co-operation with Qatar’s Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy.

The ship will be berthed, ready to welcome visitors at the port from November 19 until December 19, and will join 'MSC World Europa' and 'MSC Poesia' during this period, according to information available on the MSC Cruises website.

This new accommodation opportunity for football fans and visitors to Doha can be booked for a minimum of two nights. It will offer 1,075 passenger cabins for visitors to Doha.

'MSC Opera' offers elegant comfort and unique hospitality with a variety of lounges and entertainment venues, including the glamourous La Cabala Piano Lounge, Teatro dell'Opera theatre for evening entertainment, a range of restaurants, a spa, gym, swimming pools and whirlpools located throughout the ship’s nine decks.

The cruise ships are among the accommodation options visiting fans have during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, which will be held from November 20 to December 18.

The accommodation section on the Hayya portal says the 'MSC Poesia' and 'MSC World Europa' will be moored at Doha’s Grand Terminal, just 10 minutes by shuttle to the heart of Doha, Souq Waqif.

Both cruise ship hotels offer a variety of cabin options, from traditional and ocean-view cabins to balcony cabins and luxurious suites. Each cruise ship hotel offers multiple dining possibilities and an entertainment programme for all ages.
