Doha: Over three million transactions were completed during January 2020 by the General Directorate of Passports and its departments and electronic services according to the statistics issued by the Ministry of Interior (MoI).
The statistics showed that the completed transactions in the departments affiliated with the General Department of Passports during January 2020 reached 2,690,303, while the number of completed transactions in the service centres of the Unified Services Department spread across the country reached 238,460.
According to the statistics posted on the Ministry website yesterday, Al Rayyan Services Center topped with 24.6 percent of visa and residence related transactions, followed by Al Wakra Services Center with 18.4 percent, then Mesaimeer Services Centre with 11.3 percent.
The statistics also indicate 84,028 special transactions were completed, including 80,733 transactions in the Recruitment Applications Reviewing Committee, 759 transactions for elderly and persons with disabilities, and the 2,536 other transactions.
The total number of entry and exit movements through Hamad International Airport in January amounted to 1,215, 840, among it 436,904 movements through E-gates.
The statistics also showed an increase in the electronic services transactions, as it exceeded half a million, including more than 300,000 transactions through the website of the Ministry of Interior, over 200,000 transactions through Metrash 2, and 278 through Qatar e-Government Portal (Hukoomi).
