Doha: Ministry of Interior has launched an online service to receive cheques reports via its website.
The Ministry said that the security departments of (the capital, Al-Rayyan, Al-Shamal, Al-Janoub and Dukhan) began to receive cheques reports via the online service on the Ministry of Interior website, explaining that this step would facilitate cheques reports proceedings for companies, banks and individuals.
The Ministry added that individuals, companies and banks operating in the country can submit cheques reports via the online service on its website, instead of visiting the concerned security departments to submit a manual report, which saves time and effort and help these departments to accelerate services.
The Ministry also said that the service allows the complainant, whether an individual or an institutions, to access the service and submit a report with all required documents attached, in order for the concerned department to review these data and documents, verify their validity, and then inform the complainant in SMS notification on Metrash service that the report has been received and its number.
The complainant will be contacted via SMS in case of a lack of documents and inform him of the required documents so that the procedures can be completed and the report is referred to the Public Prosecution in accordance with the law, the Ministry said.
The Ministry of the Interior also noted that the status of the report can be inquired via the complaints follow-up online service, whereby the inquiry is via the report's data, cheque data, or the complainant's data.
