Entrance to Katara Beach will be through paid tickets, said the cultural hub of the country on its social media.
The tickets will be priced according to various age groups with adults being charged QR 50 while those in the age group of 7 to 18 years will have to pay QR 25. Entry will be free for kids less than 7 years.
"Dear visitors, starting Saturday, July 4, entrance to Katara Beach will be through paid tickets according to various age groups," stated the announcement.
Katara opened its three beaches in phase 2 of the gradual lifting of COVID-19 restrictions in Qatar on July 1. Open from 3pm to 10 pm, the three beaches have been equipped with sitting places with all the kids playground and boats disinfected.
A previous statement had mentioned that swimming is allowed in beach 3 & 4. Jetski ramp will be operative for personal jetskis on July 1, 2020 from 3pm until sunset.
