Katara hosts Eid programmes

(image) While featuring various events and interesting shows, the Cultural Village Foundation- Katara on Monday witnessed the influx of visitors, who enjoyed the festive mood at various locations of the village. Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti, Katara Director General, said that Katara is keen to attract attendees and meet their aspirations to enjoy the atmosphere of Eid-al-Fitr while presenting a variety of entertainment activities.

“Work has been done to distribute various events throughout Katara while following an appropriate timetable and avoiding overcrowding in order to help visitors enjoy the various activities. We are working to present a distinctive cultural and festive tourism scene in line with the vision of Katara,” al-Sulaiti said.

Katara hosts fireworks and gift distribution to children and hosts programmes by Arab folk groups while giving importance to Qatari culture through the participation of a local folk group. Popular groups from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Morocco and Egypt perform at Katara.

Katara brought joy and pleasure to its visitors, young children, by distributing Eid gifts in the form of gifts suitable for different age groups. The fireworks at Katara was held at 8 pm and it decorated the Katara sky with various shapes that spread joy and dazzle among the attendees. The Thuraya Planetarium in Katara in Building 41 presents a series of entertainment and educational films throughout the days of Eid Al Fitr with three shows per day. Katara Beach receives its visitors from Gate No. 3 from 9 am until 11 pm. At Gate No. 4 and 5, water sports and swimming are held from 2 pm to 11 pm.
