Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation (Katara) announced today the winners of the children's short story competition about the biography of the Prophet Mohamed (PBUH), which it had launched in the blessed month of Ramadan, in Arabic and English.
In the short story competition in the Arabic language, contestant Youssef Baalouj from Algeria won the first place and a prize of QR 12,000. Sajid Hafez from Bangladesh won the second place and a prize of QR 10,000, while the third place was awarded to Muhammad Al-Rashid Mudawi from Sudan and a prize of QR 8,000.
In English, Abdul Karim Shanayumi Arol from Nigeria won first place with a prize of QR 12,000.
The second place went to Seti Mazalina Maram from Malaysia and a prize worth QR 10,000, while Muhammad Yusuf Qureshi from Pakistan won the third place and a prize of QR8,000.
Katara had organised various competitions across its platforms on various social media during last few months.
This particular competition was aimed to encourage children to learn more about the biography of the Prophet Mohamed (PBUH), by writing a short story that deals with his biography.
