The Ministry of Municipality and Environment yesterday took part in celebrations of the International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste. The Covid-19 pandemic has alerted the world on the need to change methods of food production and consumption and maintain a balance between the two. The United Nations Assembly General in 2019, at its 74th round, has dedicated September 29, as International Day of Awareness of Food Loss and Waste to establish the main role of sustainable food production in enhancing food and nutrition security.
