Doha: The Maritime Customs Administration successfully seized a large amount of 'tambaku', a kind of chewing tobacco, which is prohibited in Qatar, at Hamad Port.
In a video posted on Twitter, the customs officers were seen removing the contraband hidden inside bags of wheat.

The customs said that 1415 packets, weighing a total of 2122.5 kilograms, of tambaku were confiscated from the cargo.
The authorities have been issuing continuous warning against carrying illegal substances into the country. Customs officers are provided with all means of support including the latest devices and continuous training to be aware of the latest methods followed by smugglers.
