“The cases where surgeries are cancelled due to the lack of beds aren’t happening and every scheduled operation is performed at the specified time without any cancellation or postponement unless there is a medical reason,” he said.
Dr al-Ansari observed that HMC’s surgical services are witnessing remarkable progress at the level of its hospital network as it has been able to treat an unprecedented number of patients while the hospitals' capacity has been successfully expanded.
“HMC has opened 10 advanced hospitals over the past decade, and this expansion of medical facilities has been accompanied by a huge investment in modern medical technology. This means that patients now have the opportunity to benefit from the best diagnostic tools and advanced treatment methods in Qatar,” he said.
Dr al-Ansari asserted that HMC is at the forefront of the most advanced specialised medical technologies among the countries of the region. “HMC has invested a lot of resources to provide the latest technology in the medical field in order to provide patients with the best level of health care. Surgical facilities at HMC are comparable to those in the most advanced countries in the medical field.”
HMC is keen on training the medical staff by receiving international doctors to perform select surgeries, he added.
