Doha: Patients with referrals from private clinics for specialized care at Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) can now submit their appointment requests online.
Under the new virtual system, patients with referrals from private clinics no longer have to visit an HMC facility with their paper referral.
“The implementation of this system has our patients at the heart of care. In HMC, we are always thinking of ways on how we can improve not only the services, but also the experience of our patients,” said Nasser Al Naimi, HMC’s Deputy Chief of Quality for the Center for Patient Experience and Staff Engagement and Director of Hamad Healthcare Quality Institute.
“This initiative did just that, finding ways to making it convenient for patients to submit their appointment referral online without stepping foot in HMC.”
Patients can now submit and upload their referral online to get an appointment. To access the appointment referral site, visit www.hamad.qa,
While accessing the online referral site, patients will be asked to provide their Health Card number and upload the referral form. Once this process is completed, patients will receive a confirmation message that their referral has been received and is being processed.
After a few days, patients will receive a call from Nesma’ak to arrange for an appointment date and time. Patients can follow-up their appointment by calling Nesma’ak at 16060.
