The health insurance and return ticket are required for approval of family visit visas and a number of applications have been rejected on lack of these conditions.
“Health insurance has become mandatory for family visit visas and the insurance is required to cover the complete stay of the visitor in the country,” said Lt. Col. Tariq Issa Aqeedi from the General Directorate of Passports of the Ministry of Interior.
Speaking in a webinar yesterday on “the Services of General Directorate of Passports on Metrash2 and the Services of Qatar Visa Centers Abroad”, he asked the companies to use Metrash2 services as they are easier and save time and efforts of both sides.
Lt. Col. Aqeedi noted that many companies do not use automatic RP renewal service despite its importance as this service can renew many RP simultaneously. “This service allows companies to renew the residence permits of their employees, regardless of their number, just on one request, without entering the data of each employee and completing each transaction alone. Companies with a large number of employees can benefit from this feature.” Over 300 people from HR, finance, safety, security, the public and private companies, schools, and the heads and representatives of expatriate communities attended the event.
The event was organised by the Public Relations Department in cooperation with the General Directorate of Passports.
Addressing the webinar, Lt. Col. Aqeedi said that the total transactions made through Metrash2 in first half of this year is 440,028, among it 305,302 transactions related only to renewal of residence.
The Metrash2 app offers more than 220 active services available in six languages, including Arabic, English, French, Malayalam, Urdu, and Spanish. It guarantees safe and encrypted services and supports most smart devices, which contributes to reaching the largest possible segment of users.
He urged people to continue using Metrash2 services like they have been using during height of COVID-19 pandemic. “It is important to use Metrash2 specially in the recent exceptional times (2020-2021), that witnessed many changes due to coronavirus pandemic, which obliged everyone to take the precautionary and preventive measures taken by the State to protect the society.”
