Doha: Alumni and graduate students of the College of Science and Engineering (CSE) at Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU) made several notable contributions at the fourth European Conference on Industrial Engineering and Operations Management (IEOM) recently.
Shazad Maharoof (pictured), an alumnus from CSE’s Master of Science (MSc) in Logistics and Supply Chain Management, won second place at the Master Thesis Presentation Award, for his thesis “Inventory Management Sourcing Policy Selection: A Focus on Wastewater Infrastructure”.
The award recognised outstanding research in areas related to industrial, manufacturing, and systems engineering, and was judged by leading academics and professionals.
CSE equips students with the tools and skill set to lead and innovate in their fields, and the event was an opportunity to contribute to discussions that bridged the gap between industrial engineering and operations management theory and its application in solving current challenges.
