Haj registration for citizens begins on Wednesday

The Department of Haj and Umrah Affairs at the Ministry of Endowments (Awqaf) and Islamic Affairs has announced the start of registration for citizens wishing to perform Haj for the year 1443 AH.

Registration will begin on Wednesday, April 27 (Ramadan 26), through this website - http://hajj.gov.qa

The ministry said in a statement on social media that the registration will continue until Thursday, May 12 (Shawwal 11).

The statement highlighted the conditions set by the Saudi Ministry of Haj and Umrah for applicants registering to perform Haj. These include the following:

* The applicant should be between 18 and 65 years of age.

* The applicant should have received 'basic doses' of the Covid-19 vaccine.

For more information, applicants can contact hotline number - 132 - and this service will be available from 9am to 2pm and again from 8.30pm to 11.30pm during Ramadan. Also, applicants can make calls from 9am to noon and from 4pm to 8pm from the second day of Eid al-Fitr.
