Doha: Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Fawzia Al Khater has visited Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School to interact with students of the second batch.
Mohammed Al Emadi, Director of Qatar Science and Technology Secondary School welcomed Assistant Undersecretary for Educational Affairs. The event was attended by Fahad Mousa Al Ali, Deputy Director of Administration and Student Affairs; and Rani Mohammed Al Tom, Deputy Director for Academic Affairs at the School welcomed.
Al Khater met with the first batch students in their classrooms and scientific laboratories reassure their performance and talk to them about the experiences they have gained over the past year, the extent of their readiness to choose disciplines within their tendencies and abilities.
She discussed with teachers and academic staff in details of the curriculum, the level of student performance and the ways in which they teach the four subjects in an integrated way by integrating science with technology.
She asked them about the details of the training programmes they had received from the instructors sent by the company that designed the curriculum, and also examined the progress of the projects of students from engineers based on school laboratories.
In her address to the first batch students, Al Khater said that the Ministry of Education and Higher Education has built this school specifically for outstanding Qatari students. It has been equipped with laboratories and the latest educational means specifically to enable students to hone their skills, nurture their creative talents and practice their scientific projects within individual and collective efforts.
