A temporary diversion will be in place from Friday (February 24) for approximately 600m between Old and New Wajba interchanges on the Dukhan Highway.
The traffic through the section is expected to resume after two months when the works of the Dukhan Highway Central expressway are completed.
During the diversion, road users travelling towards Doha on the Dukhan Highway will be transferred onto the opposite side of the road for 600m before rejoining the existing roadway (as shown on the map).
The Public Works Authority, Ashghal, will reduce the number of lanes from three to two for the length of the road change. Ashghal has requested all road users to abide by the speed limit, which has been reduced from 80kph to 50kph for the length of the diversion, and follow newly implemented traffic road signs to ensure their safety.
